山下智久の初冠番組として、1月より放送中のアメリカ横断密着ドキュメンタリー番組『ルート66～たった一人のアメリカ』（毎週・月曜深夜1:29～1:59　日本テレビほか）が、ディレクターズカット版・ＤＶＤとしてパッケージ化されることが14日、明らかになった。

機動戦士ガンダムSEED　（Gundam Seed）の英文テープ起こしの依頼が来ました。

日本に住んでいる外国人ということで、よくアニメオタクに間違われますが、実は宮崎駿監督の作品以外まったくアニメは見ないです。

でも、昔から「ガンダム」という言葉は何１００回も耳にしていたので、さすがに好奇心がわいてきて、この依頼が来たときにはうれしかったです。

全５０話、計１１００分以上の英文の聞き起こしをしたので、相当詳しくなりました。アニオタほどではないけれど・・・。

キャラ、あらすじについては、ちょっとは語れるようになりました。機種や武器の名前は別の問題ですが。

ラブストーリーの描写もわりと多かったよ。

パデュー大学のシンポジウムのオーディオタイピング：27年周年 African-American Culture and Philosophy

The symposium will feature a keynote lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday in Stewart Center, Room 322. Kim D. Butler, associate professor of history at Rutgers University, will speak on “Latinizing Race, Racializing Latinidad: The Shifting Terrains of Blackness.”

The conference will cover areas Latin America and the Caribbean, including Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.

Latin America has the largest population of African descended people outside of Africa and Afro-Latin America developed as a result of the Atlantic slave trade and subsequent migrations, Patton said. The Latin American and Latino American Studies program is also presenting the event.
